The first woman pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean: Amelia Earhart 


Earhart disappeared mysteriously in the Pacific, and her last radio transmission was heard from there.

 The disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa, portrayed by Al Pacino in ‘The Irishman,’ was even investigated by the FBI.

Hoffa disappeared mysteriously in July 1975. The most widespread theory suggests he was murdered by a mafia boss. Despite numerous claims and investigations, the mysterious disappearance of Hoffa remains unresolved to this day.

American big band musician: Glenn Miller


Glenn Miller, whose recordings were among the best-selling from 1939 to 1943, surprised everyone with his disappearance.

On December 15, 1944, Miller boarded a plane from England to France to give a Christmas concert for the troops. The plane never reached its destination, and there were no traces found of the plane or the people inside. Despite extensive searches, the government could not solve what happened to the plane and its passengers.

Lawyer, politician, and writer: Oscar Zeta Acosta


Mexican-American Oscar Zeta Acosta was an important figure in the Chicano Movement.

He was last seen in 1974 in Mexico, going fishing with journalist Hunter S. Thompson. No one has seen him since. Some believe he was killed by a drug cartel, while others think he staged his death and fled.

Novelist: Barbara Newhall Follett 


Barbara Follett, a very famous novelist at a young age, is also on the list.

Disappearing without a trace on December 7, 1939, she was staying at her family’s home. Her father mentioned that she left around 4 pm that day to run a few errands, and they never heard from her again. Over the years, there have been several claims of people spotting Follett, but the young writer has never been found.

Guitarist Richey Edwards


 It was reported that Richey Edwards, former guitarist of ‘Manic Street Preachers,’ disappeared in February 1995.

His car was found abandoned by the side of a mountain in Wales, and there has been no news of him since that day. Although rumors of suicide circulated, the truth has never been found.
