Gather Around, We’re Moving: A Cave Has Been Discovered on the Moon’s Surface!
Caves believed to exist on the Moon’s surface were seen as potential future settlement sites. However, the cave idea had not yet been fully clarified… until today!
Scientists have made a historic breakthrough by discovering a cave on the Moon. It is predicted that this cave could be used as a settlement site in the future.

Scientists have made another historic discovery.
For the first time, a cave accessible from the Moon’s surface has been discovered. This discovery officially paves the way for permanent settlement on the Moon!

The discovered cave is thought to reduce environmental effects just like on our Earth.

When astronauts want to stay on the Moon for a long time, they face several problems. Space radiation and the temperature emitted by the Moon prevent people from staying on the Moon’s surface for extended periods.

The most ‘natural’ and ‘cost-effective’ solution to this, of course, is caves.
This cave, located about 100 meters deep, could be used as a Moon base in the future.

To live safely on the Moon, the question of how long-term living in the Moon’s environmental conditions is possible must first be solved. As you might guess, it is quite costly for astronauts to bring materials from Earth and build a structure there.
The discovered caves are perfectly suited for this mission!
The cave was discovered near the ‘Sea of Tranquility,’ where Neil Armstrong set foot.

It is reported that the cave is one of 200 locations observed to date, many of which were formed by the collapse of lava tubes.
The cave is 45 meters wide and 80 meters long, roughly the size of 14 tennis courts…
Let’s see if we can live in one of these caves in the future!
