NASA Discovers Planet with Boiling Oceans: Could It Be a Water World?
NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has discovered a planet completely covered with boiling oceans. Details in the content. 👇
New observations with NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope revealed the presence of chemical traces such as water vapor, methane, and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere of a planet located approximately 70 light-years away from Earth and with a diameter twice that of Earth.

According to scientists at the University of Cambridge, these chemical traces indicate that the planet could be a water world and has an atmosphere rich in hydrogen.

Research suggests that the temperature of the ocean covering the planet’s surface could be over 100 degrees Celsius.

At this temperature, the ocean could still remain in liquid form, but there are uncertainties about whether it is habitable.

On the other hand, some researchers argue that based on the chemicals detected in the planet’s atmosphere, the surface temperature of the planet is likely around 4,000 degrees Celsius and under these conditions, the presence of a liquid ocean is unlikely.

Instead, it is believed that the planet may have a rocky surface surrounded by a dense atmosphere of hydrogen and water vapor.
