Exciting Discovery by Scientists: Entirely New Type of Star Found in Our Galaxy!
Fifteen new and chemically unique stars with extraordinarily high levels of phosphorus, levels that cannot be explained by current scientific theories, have been discovered in the Milky Way Galaxy. Phosphorus, a crucial element for life as it is a building block of genetic material and plays a vital role in energy transfer, ranks among the indispensable elements for life. Details below. 👇
The scientific community understands that the existence of life on Earth is made possible by the elements produced through processes like nucleosynthesis occurring in cosmic events such as stars and supernovae.

Phosphorus is considered one of the essential elements for life, playing a critical role in genetic material and energy transfer among other functions.

However, scientists have yet to gain complete clarity on the production processes of phosphorus in stars.

In a recent study, fifteen new stars containing exceptionally high levels of phosphorus, levels that cannot be explained by current theories, were discovered in the Milky Way Galaxy.

Thomas Masseron, the lead author of the study published in Nature Communications, stated that phosphorus is one of the five essential elements for life on Earth and among the scarcest of these elements.

The research team proposed several models to explain these phosphorus-rich stars. One of these models suggests that giant stars formed from remnants of stars like the Sun, which contain the necessary phosphorus for life, may have produced phosphorus excessively throughout their lifetimes.

Another possibility is that phosphorus-rich stars may have “stolen” phosphorus from nearby stars in their orbits or merged with these stars.

However, these theories do not fully align with observations, indicating the need for further research on the subject.
