You and your partner may have been in the same place at the same time in the past, without even knowing it.

This theory gained popularity on TikTok after Taylor Swift’s song “Invisible String” from her album “Folklore” was released. The lyrics of the song suggest that there is an invisible string connecting two people who are meant to be together.

Users on TikTok have been sharing their own experiences with the #invisiblestring hashtag, sharing moments when they realized they had crossed paths with someone important to them in the past. Some have realized that they had already met their current partner, while others have discovered that they were in the same photo as their best friend without even knowing it.

The “invisible string theory” is not just about finding your soulmate, but also about the idea that everyone who has touched your life in some way is connected to you by an invisible string. This theory is based on the Chinese belief and mythology of the “red thread of fate,” which suggests that two people who are meant to be together are connected by a red thread tied to their fingers.

The theory has also been linked to Greek mythology, where humans were originally born as two-headed, four-armed, and four-legged creatures. Zeus split them in half, and they spend their lives searching for their other half.
